The siren call of bingo was in my ear this week. I had to go and take a chiance. It’s always nice to get the opportunity to go gambling outside of the online casino word. I jumped at the chance.
I bought my tickets on an electronic machine. I think I paid £18.50 which gave me three and a half books. The houses were £100 each which was good compared to the rest of the weekdays. There are days when the full house is only worth £25. I’ve made the mistake of going on those days without realizing the prizes were hardly worth it.
I was with my mother-in-law and she has schooled me on the ins and outs of bingo quite a bit. We walked around aimlessly because she tries to “feel” the luck. The table we sit at is key in her opinion. If she wins while sitting there it becomes her lucky table until the next visit when she loses.
The caller was someone she doesn’t like. I believe I’ve mentioned this before but it’s so crazy. It’s worth mentioning again. She hates most of the callers because they don’t call her numbers and she doesn’t win when they call. The calling system is completely automated and random. I don’t understand how she can believe that they are doing this to her on purpose.
Anyway, the game began and it was one of those days where they went on and on. It took forever for someone to call. That worked in my favor because I won a £100 full house on the last game of the first half of the session. WE had a break then continued on with the second half. Somewhere in there I won another £100 house. I’ve never won like that before.
I could hear the sound of all the jealous women making comments. “Oh she won again” and “I was waiting on one number for ages”. I was the most hated at bingo that afternoon but I went home a happy woman.
