IGT Launches Fire Opals

I went to Virgin Games to play Fire Opals. I heard of the new release from one of the online casino forums that I frequent. I was a little skeptical because I don’t have luck on IGT slot games and they don’t seem to pay out much. Also the free spins are generally low. Fire Opal offers 10 free spins so I was a bit more hopeful. I was off to Virgin Casino to check it out.

The game pays right to left and left to right with 720 ways to win. If you’ve ever played Siberian Storm then you know how this works. In fact, Fire Opals is exactly the same game at Siberian Storm with different graphics. I’ve played Fire Horse in the land based casinos and this is just like that. I proceeded with caution.

As soon as I started spinning, I remembered why I don’t like this type of slot. Slots in IGT’s MultiWay Xtra™ series require a least 1 bonus symbol, in this case the fire opal, to land on all 5 reels in order to launch the free spins. That is no easy task and I’ve been known to waste deposit after deposit trying to get it. If I do manage to get the free spins, the win is very minimal.

Anyway, immediately I got 4 fire opals on 4 reels. Of course the 5th didn’t appear. I vowed not to gamble more than £50  toward checking this new game out and it was half gone within 5 minutes. Again, 4 bonus symbols…and again.  My bankroll was depleted.

I read something on a forum regarding when to play new slot games. Someone said it’s best to play them after 6 months. I’m not sure if there’s any truth to this but this was not the time for Fire Opals. I would’ve been better off with a real fire opal gem. I think I’ll pass that on to my hubby. Maybe I’ll have better luck.

Mega Migraine

Mega Break Da Bank Again is a new slot that was released by Microgaming last month. To be honest I never really enjoyed the original but this one looked interesting. There are 4 slots to play which makes things a bit exciting and a bit pricey. I was off to King Neptune’s to try it out. Of the many online casinos I've registered at, I enjoy the customer service at King Neptune’s.

Anyway, I was only going to give £50 toward satisfying my curiosity. I wagered £1.08 per spin. I wondered if I could hit a bonus on each of the 4 screens. In reality I could. I just needed 3 steel bank vault doors on all four slots. Things got off to a slow start and I was thinking that this wasn’t for me but I wanted to give it a chance. I found it very boring. I know so many players who swear by the original Break Da Bank Again. They love it. Every free spins bonus I have ever gotten was worthless. I just have the urge to play all the newest games because I must be in the know.

I was spinning away when I felt the slight twinge of a headache coming on. There’s 4 times the reels spinning, can you blame me? My bankroll was shrinking fast but suddenly I got the bonus symbols on the 4th slot awarding me 15 free spins with a 5x multiplier. Now my experience with bonuses on the original has been awful so frankly I didn’t have high hopes. Just as I thought I won £1.35 and that was with the 5x multiplier. Each vault symbol that appears during free spins awards an additional spin. I believe I had about 18 free spins total and that’s all it gave me. Stingy!

I went back to spinning and lost my bankroll. To be honest I was thankful. I took a gamble and Mega Break Da Bank Again left me with nothing but a mega migraine. Thumbs down from me. You must bet much higher than I was to make any money. Have you played it?

Spinning in the Name of True Love

I love Valentines Day. My hubby and I always do something special and I get good chocolates too. It’s a bit early but I can get in the mood can’t I? I did a little gambling on the Playtech slot game True Love at a great online casino, Grand Duke.

I started spinning at £1.50. I wanted a nice win and I thought that the free spins bonus was the way to get it. True Love can really pay out during free spins. Not long after I began I triggered the bonus. I was awarded 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier. That’s pretty good so I had high hope. I walked away with a nice little win of £28.80. Now on to some big money or so I hoped.

Literally 4 spins later I got the bonus again. I assumed it wouldn’t be very good since I just had one. That usually seems to be the case. Love must have been in the air because this bonus was in a giving mood. I was hitting the spin button so fast that I don’t even know what the winning combo was but my last spin resulted in a £80 win. I finished the bonus £110 richer.

I started making plans to buy a bottle of bubbly for Valentines Day. True Love started to get a bit stingy and wasn’t paying out. I guess maybe it had given me enough early on. I was going to cash out and keep a profit of £100. I played off the few quid I had left to see if it would breathe some life back into this session. My last spin resulted in another round of free spins worth £52.50.

I was very happy and didn’t want to press my luck. It was easy to pull myself away when I thought of all the things this cash could do to spoil my husband on Valentines Day.

Penniless in the Old West

I’ve probably mentioned this before but my husband is a huge movie fan. He can name the actors, directors and quote scenes from many movies. Sometimes when we watch them I have to shoosh him because he’s telling me what’s coming up next. This includes old western movies. Those I tend to avoid so as he was in heaven watching John Wayne, I was looking around at Pamper Casino.

I don’t mind a good old west themed slot game and Old West was calling my name. Amigotechs software is not one that I am very familiar with. I’ve played their games a handful of times but the software often runs very slowly. I go back for a change from the games I typically play. The slot games are very unique and unlike those that you will find anywhere else since not many online casinos are powered by Amigotechs software.

Old West is a 21 line slot game with a minimum bet of $0.10 per line. The minimum bet was a little shocking to gamble at $2.10 per spin. Although it was against my better judgment I gave it a shot.

I was learning the p I couldn’t figure out what the bonus symbol was until 2 snakes hit the reels. I was learning the payouts as I went along. One thing I couldn’t seem to figure out was what the bonus symbol was. Was it a game or free spins? I know I should just look at the paytable but I’m stubborn.  The snake symbol is considered the scatter symbol and triggers a bonus game. There is a wheel symbol that triggers free spins. I never did get either one. This slot just didn’t pay.

I definitely wasn’t a very good desperado out here in the old west. I couldn’t get a penny from Old West. The worst part is that my husband’s movie still wasn’t over and I had nothing to occupy me.
