New Game New Theme

BuzzLuck Casino features NuWorks software. I have a list of my favorite online casinos that I frequent but I read on a forum that someone had played the new slot game, Iron Duke, and loved it. Naturally, I had to see what all the fuss was about.

It’s Britain versus France in this new slot game. I’ve never seen a theme like this before. The cool thing is the free spins bonus. The Waterloo Feature faces Napoleon’s cannons against Duke Wellington’s cannons. Free spins are based on which side wins and the number of cannons that aren’t destroyed.

I took $100 to take a gamble on Iron Duke. The Major, Minor and Mini Jackpots were looking good. That would make my day to hit the $1,100 Major Jackpot. I’d take my hubby and buy him a new wardrobe. Some of his shirts have shrunk down to tube tops and he can no longer wear them. A man in a belly shirt is not easy on the eyes.

Anyway, my bet was set to $1.25 per spin and I was raring to go. The Duke of Wellington is the wild symbol. Up first were 3 gun symbols and 2 wilds for a win of $15.25. The payout was decent and I was hitting $8 here and $5 there. All of a sudden I hit the Waterloo Feature and the Duke of Wellington won the battle with 2 cannons left awarding 15 free spins at 4x. I was happy with my bonus win of $18.50.

The next bonus came very quickly and this time I got 12 free spins with a 3x multiplier. I won $61.40! I began to wonder if fewer spins meant a better bonus. The maximum spins on this slot is 25 with a 5x multiplier but can be re-triggered awarding an additional 10 spins.

I understand what the fuss is about. I didn’t win the random jackpot but I won $200 total. My hubby is getting a couple of new shirts for sure thanks to Iron Duke!

Free Coins Just for Showing Up

I heard that a new bingo site had launched earlier in the year. It’s called Robin Hood Bingo. I didn’t think much of it and continued to gamble at my normal online casinos. Recently, I came across a gambling news article about the site. Apparently, they have an amazing loyalty program which give players free coins every day. I wanted free coins so I was off to check out Robin Hood Bingo.

I registered and made a small deposit of £10. Along with my deposit they awarded me a £25 deposit bonus. I spent my cash on the slots of course but then headed over to bingo to play off my bonus. £25 was bound to last me a while or so I thought. There are so many great things about this site that I don’t know where to start.

Within minutes of signing up, I got 50 free coins. You can redeem them for cash once you reach 1,000. You can then purchase tickets to play in games for real money. I went into a 90 ball bingo room and played in a game where the tickets were 3 pence each. I bought the max of 96 cards. I played in so many games that I couldn’t even keep track of many. The cool thing about the bingo games is that when you complete a game, you can click a button that automatically takes you to the next game. It’s that simple. I selected 90 ball bingo so each game I was directed to was 90 ball.

As a new player, I also had access to the free bingo rooms for 4 days. There are big jackpot games that play on certain days which players can pre-buy tickets for. I had an absolute ball playing at this site. I almost liked it more than land based bingo.....almost.

Slot lovers should not worry. Robin Hood Bingo has plenty of slots including jackpot slots. So if you can’t be bothered with bingo there’s always slots. Have you registered? What are your thoughts on this new site?

Cashing Out: The Dilemma

Why is it so difficult to hit that cash out button?  It’s even more difficult when you’re comfy and cozy and home gambling at your favorite online casino. I can set up my auto play and clean up or do laundry or even throw a nice dinner together. There’s no need to hurry things along to get home and take care of household business.

One afternoon, I was playing at Jackpot Capitol because I can’t get enough RTG slot games. I deposited $100 and began with the Mayan Queen slot game. This game has one of my all-time favorite features, the expanding wild! In this case, the Mayan Queen expands in the center reel. There are a few RTG slots that have this feature including Count Spectacular. The Count can appear and expand on any reel. There’s the difference. I’ll get to that soon.

Anyway, back to spinning on Mayan Queen. I crave the bonus on any slot game. I mean that’s what it’s all about, right? Here, 3 emerald symbols launch free spins. It’s a rare thing but the wild symbol substitutes for a bonus symbol. In no time at all I had several bonus rounds and built my balance up a bit to about $135. I suppose the queen felt that she had given me enough and she completely shut down. She was no longer paying so I had to switch slot games. A $35 gain was not nearly enough to qualify for a cash out. Still craving expanding wilds, I quickly headed toward Count Spectacular.

As with all RTG slots, the bonus consists of free spins. When the count makes an appearance on reels 3 and 5, players may choose between a couple of offers. It’s either 12 games with a 3x multiplier or 4 re-spins. I went with the 12 free games at 3x and pocketed nearly $30. I was still ahead so I kept spinning. Again, I hit the free spins and again. I was doing pretty well. The bonuses were kind to me and I was at approximately $215. Now what? I typically need a minimum balance of $250 before I’ll consider cashing out on a $100 deposit. I continued on and played several different slot games such as Loose Caboose, Mystic Dragon and even back to the Mayan Queen. Unfortunately, I blew through my winnings including my deposit. What makes me do these things?

Do you have a threshold before you’ll withdraw?

IGT Launches Fire Opals

I went to Virgin Games to play Fire Opals. I heard of the new release from one of the online casino forums that I frequent. I was a little skeptical because I don’t have luck on IGT slot games and they don’t seem to pay out much. Also the free spins are generally low. Fire Opal offers 10 free spins so I was a bit more hopeful. I was off to Virgin Casino to check it out.

The game pays right to left and left to right with 720 ways to win. If you’ve ever played Siberian Storm then you know how this works. In fact, Fire Opals is exactly the same game at Siberian Storm with different graphics. I’ve played Fire Horse in the land based casinos and this is just like that. I proceeded with caution.

As soon as I started spinning, I remembered why I don’t like this type of slot. Slots in IGT’s MultiWay Xtra™ series require a least 1 bonus symbol, in this case the fire opal, to land on all 5 reels in order to launch the free spins. That is no easy task and I’ve been known to waste deposit after deposit trying to get it. If I do manage to get the free spins, the win is very minimal.

Anyway, immediately I got 4 fire opals on 4 reels. Of course the 5th didn’t appear. I vowed not to gamble more than £50  toward checking this new game out and it was half gone within 5 minutes. Again, 4 bonus symbols…and again.  My bankroll was depleted.

I read something on a forum regarding when to play new slot games. Someone said it’s best to play them after 6 months. I’m not sure if there’s any truth to this but this was not the time for Fire Opals. I would’ve been better off with a real fire opal gem. I think I’ll pass that on to my hubby. Maybe I’ll have better luck.

Mega Migraine

Mega Break Da Bank Again is a new slot that was released by Microgaming last month. To be honest I never really enjoyed the original but this one looked interesting. There are 4 slots to play which makes things a bit exciting and a bit pricey. I was off to King Neptune’s to try it out. Of the many online casinos I've registered at, I enjoy the customer service at King Neptune’s.

Anyway, I was only going to give £50 toward satisfying my curiosity. I wagered £1.08 per spin. I wondered if I could hit a bonus on each of the 4 screens. In reality I could. I just needed 3 steel bank vault doors on all four slots. Things got off to a slow start and I was thinking that this wasn’t for me but I wanted to give it a chance. I found it very boring. I know so many players who swear by the original Break Da Bank Again. They love it. Every free spins bonus I have ever gotten was worthless. I just have the urge to play all the newest games because I must be in the know.

I was spinning away when I felt the slight twinge of a headache coming on. There’s 4 times the reels spinning, can you blame me? My bankroll was shrinking fast but suddenly I got the bonus symbols on the 4th slot awarding me 15 free spins with a 5x multiplier. Now my experience with bonuses on the original has been awful so frankly I didn’t have high hopes. Just as I thought I won £1.35 and that was with the 5x multiplier. Each vault symbol that appears during free spins awards an additional spin. I believe I had about 18 free spins total and that’s all it gave me. Stingy!

I went back to spinning and lost my bankroll. To be honest I was thankful. I took a gamble and Mega Break Da Bank Again left me with nothing but a mega migraine. Thumbs down from me. You must bet much higher than I was to make any money. Have you played it?

Spinning in the Name of True Love

I love Valentines Day. My hubby and I always do something special and I get good chocolates too. It’s a bit early but I can get in the mood can’t I? I did a little gambling on the Playtech slot game True Love at a great online casino, Grand Duke.

I started spinning at £1.50. I wanted a nice win and I thought that the free spins bonus was the way to get it. True Love can really pay out during free spins. Not long after I began I triggered the bonus. I was awarded 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier. That’s pretty good so I had high hope. I walked away with a nice little win of £28.80. Now on to some big money or so I hoped.

Literally 4 spins later I got the bonus again. I assumed it wouldn’t be very good since I just had one. That usually seems to be the case. Love must have been in the air because this bonus was in a giving mood. I was hitting the spin button so fast that I don’t even know what the winning combo was but my last spin resulted in a £80 win. I finished the bonus £110 richer.

I started making plans to buy a bottle of bubbly for Valentines Day. True Love started to get a bit stingy and wasn’t paying out. I guess maybe it had given me enough early on. I was going to cash out and keep a profit of £100. I played off the few quid I had left to see if it would breathe some life back into this session. My last spin resulted in another round of free spins worth £52.50.

I was very happy and didn’t want to press my luck. It was easy to pull myself away when I thought of all the things this cash could do to spoil my husband on Valentines Day.

Penniless in the Old West

I’ve probably mentioned this before but my husband is a huge movie fan. He can name the actors, directors and quote scenes from many movies. Sometimes when we watch them I have to shoosh him because he’s telling me what’s coming up next. This includes old western movies. Those I tend to avoid so as he was in heaven watching John Wayne, I was looking around at Pamper Casino.

I don’t mind a good old west themed slot game and Old West was calling my name. Amigotechs software is not one that I am very familiar with. I’ve played their games a handful of times but the software often runs very slowly. I go back for a change from the games I typically play. The slot games are very unique and unlike those that you will find anywhere else since not many online casinos are powered by Amigotechs software.

Old West is a 21 line slot game with a minimum bet of $0.10 per line. The minimum bet was a little shocking to gamble at $2.10 per spin. Although it was against my better judgment I gave it a shot.

I was learning the p I couldn’t figure out what the bonus symbol was until 2 snakes hit the reels. I was learning the payouts as I went along. One thing I couldn’t seem to figure out was what the bonus symbol was. Was it a game or free spins? I know I should just look at the paytable but I’m stubborn.  The snake symbol is considered the scatter symbol and triggers a bonus game. There is a wheel symbol that triggers free spins. I never did get either one. This slot just didn’t pay.

I definitely wasn’t a very good desperado out here in the old west. I couldn’t get a penny from Old West. The worst part is that my husband’s movie still wasn’t over and I had nothing to occupy me.

Finally a BIG Win

I had the urge to gamble a few quid the at Jackpot Party online casino. I began with £50 and couldn’t win anything. In my experience with them it takes a while for it to warm up. The big attraction for me is the amazing games that I’ve played many times in the land based casinos. When I go home to the USA for a visit I see all the best WMS slot games on earth all in one place. I get the same experience with Jackpot Party.

The random progressive jackpots are also a major attraction. They may be won by anyone, at any time and any stake. This couldn’t prove truer because while I was playing, someone took the Mega Jackpot of just over £43,000 while betting at 40p per spin. They were playing Hearts of Venice and boom all of a sudden the progressive came up. The casino uploaded the big win to their youtube page. It was a huge deal because this was the highest amount that the jackpot reached since they launched in November 2010.

I was a little bummed that it wasn’t me but I kept spinning. At this point I had made several £50 deposits and bounced between the Bruce Lee slot and Fortunes of the Caribbean. I decided to give up on them and move to Temptation Queen. Within 3 or 4 spins I triggered the feature which gave me 8 free spins. What’s great about this game is that it offers expanding wilds. Those are amazing. During one of the free spins a Temptation Queen symbol was on reels 1 and 5 with expanding wilds in the middle. It was a spin worth just over £600.

I didn’t quite hit the Mega jackpot but it felt like it to me!

Finally 50 Lions Online

I have had a love affair with the 50 Lions slot game in the land based casinos for years. I have spent the better part of a trip to the casino gambling on this slot. I searched the internet for online casinos that may have this game. The software is Aristocrat and I haven’t seen much of them online. One afternoon I struck gold! Mecca Bingo had it. I had to check it out to make sure it was just like I remember and it was.

I first played for free then I deposited a total of about £80 trying to hit it big. The exciting aspects of this slot are the free spins bonus, the stacked symbols and the diamond multiplier. The lion symbol is stacked and it’s a sight to be seen when they fill your screen. Throw in a diamond multiplier and the win is even greater. This was exactly the same 50 Lions that I remember. Even the same bells ring when you get three flowers on reels 1, 2 and 3 for the bonus.

I managed to trigger the free spins a couple of times but I wasn’t getting anything amazing. The lowest bet is 50p but I was spinning at £1. I was so excited and in awe that this was finally online. I wondered how long it had been there and I thought back to all my experiences planted in a chair at the land based casinos.
As I was reminiscing, the first three reels were filled with lions. That won me about £30 if I recall correctly. Even with a mini win, I still needed to make another deposit. My cash was going so quickly. It did cross my mind to drop my bet down to 50p but I had high hopes of a big win.

I think I let the excitement get the best of me because several deposits later and I had nothing to show for it. What game were you most thrilled to find online?

Cats Galore

My husband and I discovered the sweetest little cat outside our door. We fed her and took her in since the weather is so treacherous. Little did we know, she was about to give birth. We now have 5 cats running around. Not to worry, they won’t be staying but they are so darn cute! In their honor I decided to play the Cats slot game at Kerching Casino.

Cats is a great slot game by IGT. The symbols are various big cats, wilds and letters. I deposited £100 and hoped for the best. Online casino gambling was a nice break. The bonus round consists of 5 free spins unless you get 6 bonus symbols, then you get 10 free spins. That is so common with IGT. I love the games but I don’t love the minimal free spins offered. You wait forever to get them and then they don’t pay very well. I began to wonder why I chose this slot and why I continue to play IGT slots.

I was down a good portion of my bankroll and I was getting annoyed. The big payout is the panther symbols.  The payout goes all the way up to 10 symbols for 2,500 coins. There are two panther symbols, one includes two panthers. The “two panther” symbol counts as two so the payout can be doubled when you receive 5 symbols. Hope that makes sense. I would love to know someone who has managed to win that. The panthers are hard to come by.

I had a couple of good payouts with lions in the winning combo but I started to get that sinking feeling that this was going to be a total loss. I managed to get 6 bonus symbols for 10 free spins. I won £127 so I took that as my queue to call it a day.

At the last second I had a touch of luck. What games have you played that have pulled you out of a bad situation at the last minute?

Bingo Business

Yes, throughout the holidays I have spent some time at bingo with my mother in law. She took me to a VIP session. I had no idea that our club had a VIP session. This was just before Christmas and the New Year and they held a meeting and spoke to all the patrons. Ya can’t get this kind of personal treatment online can you?

They discussed changes to the diner and the food. They discussed a brand new smoking section to be added including a heated balcony and games available for play during breaks. This was all fabulous news but I couldn’t help but think to myself, let’s get on with the gambling. We were just about to begin but not before they dropped a bomb on their VIP’s. It turns out that free bingo days will soon offer reduced prizes. Instead of the £25 full house prize, it will be reduced to £15. Apparently they claim to be attracting the “wrong type” of people to free bingo. Management went on to tell a story of a man that took a piece of the bathroom countertop with him in an attempt to steal a vase worth £1.50.

Finally, we got on with the bingo. I was all set with my electronic machine loaded with 33 tickets. I was so sure that I had a good chance to win some cash with my fancy machine. The only trouble was that many people are now using the fancy machine. It costs more but you are given more tickets than you get with the regular paper book.

The house prizes were set at £100 and there is a big money game worth a whopping 20 grand. Me and my hubby would kick our heels up and take a luxury holiday with a fabulous win like that. One woman has won it so far at our club. I found it odd that she was at bingo the following week. How greedy can you be? Maybe it wasn’t greed but a love of the game.

If you won a major jackpot, would you be back at the bingo hall or casino right away?
